Paramount Resort Murcia.
The Paramount Resort will open in 2015 and will require an investment of 1000 million euros, something that was announced as “not going to be a problem as the project is extremely viable.” The park will be revolutionary emerging it’s visitors in some of Paramounts greatest films.

From the moment visitors set foot in the park and cross the legendary entry they will be totally immersed in a captivating world where everyone’s imagination will take flight.
Visitors will be able live the movies through amazing attractions based on Paramount movies including ‘Mission Impossible’, ‘Titanic’, ‘Tomb Raider’ ‘The Lost Valley’ and ‘Star Trek’. High tech, full on American and coming to Murcia.
Let’s take a look at some of the attractions and areas of the resort.
Adventure City
The park will include an area called “Adventure City”, where Paramounts most explosive films will become dynamic attractions. Mission Impossible 4D, which will introduce visitors to a mixture of 3D movies and high tech effects. The visitors will ride fast cars which will move through this totally virtual world. In addition, there will be a roller coaster called “Italian Job”, which will be a big attraction, visitors will race through scenes filled with incredible special effects. Adventure City will also feature the attraction “Titanic Exposed”, where visitors can experience the unforgettable story of the Titanic through artifacts, displays and special effects.
Lost Valley
Lost Valley will be an area set in deep vegetation where the focus for visitors will be on discovery, mystery and adventure. In this area, two of the experiences will be highly exciting “Congo River” and “Lara Croft”, “Tomb Raider”. In both cases, visitors can participate through many interactive elements, sitting in an area which will seem to be located inside the ancient crypt in Tomb Raider. High above “Lost Valley” emerges the magnificent “Dragons Legend”, a roller coaster sure to get your heart going.
The most successful themed attractions have a very broad appeal, ensuring that each member of the family has something to let their imagination fly, this leads us to Fantasy Space.
Fantasy Space
Fantasy Space will provide younger visitors the opportunity to explore a world based on fantasy, one where the primary theme is the “Happy Tree”, where little ones can let off steam, play, climb and explore. Become a wizard embarking on your own interactive adventure in another space. There are many other attractions in the area of ”Fantasy Tree”, as well as a roller coaster for the whole family to take a journey of fairy tales. A mysterious forest, will host the tavern “‘Sleepy Hollow”, where fantasy will take on a slightly darker theme
Plaza future
Plaza Future will immerse visitors in the world of science, action and adventure into outer space. The key attraction will be “Star Trek”. Total immersion combining motion simulation and highly advanced technology to give visitors an experience they will never forget. Among other attractions in Plaza future will be a 4D spectacular feature in which you will experience attacks against aliens when you join “‘The War of the Worlds.” If you like a little fear in your day you can enjoy the paranormal activity, gripped by 3D audio and sound effects where spooks will walk in the room and give visitors the feeling that spirits fly by them, quite literally.
Life Style Center.
The theme park will also have an enclosed area called the “Life style center “, which will be an area of restaurants, hotels, shopping, nightclubs and entertainment venues, all part of the new Paramount Resort in Murcia Spain.

PARAMOUNT THEME PARK GETS GREEN LIGHT
Businessmen throughout the region are crossing their fingers that this time the idea comes to light, as it would give the region a huge economic boost, offering thousands of jobs, building work, and bringing a boost to the tourism industry in the province.
It appears that Paramount have given the thumbs up to the project, but will not invest in it themselves. This leaves the doors open for private investors who see this brand new venture as a way of multiplying their input and giving them a name for themselves.
Paramount Licensing will participate in the plans for the theme park, providing the conceptual designs for the installations and attractions, as well as giving the park a license to use their trademark and characters from their films.
The government of Murcia will not invest in the park either. The main money will come from Santa Mónica Financial Services, which belongs to the Santa Monica Sport group, presided by Jesus Samper. The councillor for Culture for Murcia, Pedro Alberto Cruz, has said that private investors will also be invited to participate in the project.
The location for the park has not yet been decided, but various locations are being studied, and Cruz said that this decision would be made in the next few weeks. He added that this will be much more than a theme park, and will complement the huge steps forward that the region of Murcia is about to make, with a brand new international airport opening next year, the high speed AVE train getting closer and closer, and the building of the new digital city Contempolis near Cartagena.
Mario Pedro Reverte, a Murcian councillor described the building of new Paramount Park as the most important event for Murcia in the 21st Century. “The arrival of any investors, whoever they may be, will be given a warm welcome by the Murcian government,” he stated last week.
The announcement has been described as an injection of optimism for the region and its future. It is believed that Paramount will visit Murcia in the near future to plan the building work and design the masterplan for the project.
Darren Kyman, the executive director of Paramount Licensing said last Friday that an agreement has been made to establish a huge entertainment centre for Paramount in the region of Murcia. “We believe that Murcia represents a great opportunity to take a Paramount Film Studios Park to Europe, and we are looking forward to working with the regional government and Santa Monica Financial Services S.A. to develop this exciting project,” he communicated at the latest press conference.
The project could provide over 20,000 jobs, attract three million tourists more a year to the region and fill all the hotels in and around Murcia.
Jesus Samper, the owner of Real Murcia, and Santa Mónica Financial, explained last Tuesday that due to a confidentiality contract he cannot give away any details of the new theme park yet. However, huge speculation over the location is already being generated, and all eyes seem to be on land next to the Polaris World urbanisation near Alhama, which happens to be fairly close to the new airport. It is also next to the Green area of Parque Natural el Carrasco and El Valle, and near the Cartagena-Murcia motorway.
An area of 6 million square metres is needed for the construction. It is also believed that around the theme park hotels and casinos will be built. Foreign owners of casinos (Russian and Korean) have already offered to invest in the project if they will be granted permission to open their own casinos there.
Jesus Samper has already agreed to invest 1.8 million dollars in the project for the license, and it is believed a further 4 to 6 million euros will be needed to complete the park.
